Claude Debussy’s only complete opera, Pelléas and Mélisande - an opera about a tragic love triangle - which premiered in 1902 to immediate acclaim and remains a hallmark of 20th century opera.

Director and choreographer Keturah Stickan makes her West Edge debut having directed productions around the country, most notably at San Diego Opera. She was the choreographer and movement director for the world premiere of Jake Heggie’s Moby Dick, subsequently seen at San Francisco Opera.

Based on Maurice Maeterlinck’s eponymous symbolist play, Pelléas and Mélisande will be adapted for chamber ensemble by West Edge Music Director, Jonathan Khuner who will also conduct.

The opera will be performed in the original French with English supertitles.
