The Threepenny Opera by Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht directed by Elkhanah Pulitzer and conducted by David Möschler. Macheath (aka Mackie, aka Mack the Knife) an amoral, unrepentant criminal marries the naive, trusting Polly Peachum much to the displeasure of her father, who happens to hold sway over all the beggars of London. No one is safe in this biting critique of capitalism and classism that ushered in a new form of musical theater.
