safety

As we prepare and plan for both Snapshot and Festival 2021, your safety is foremost in our minds.

The Health and Human Services Department has put out guidelines for the opening of outdoor venues. Currently, Contra Costa County, where the Bruns is situated is at the Orange level. As the colors change based on case rates and hospitalizations, more audience will be allowed.

For Snapshot: Currently we can have 180 audience members socially distanced and masked at the Bruns.

For the Festival:

Preparing for live in-person performance is thrilling but there are a few things to know about this complicated year of social distancing:

We have arranged socially distanced seating that automatically blocks two seats next to every order, and every other row is also blocked out. If we can sell more tickets later, we will – but will contact existing ticketholders first to see if you want to improve your seats.

Any seats you see available on the seating chart are guaranteed to be two seats away from any other patron.  Please help us accommodate as many patrons as possible by choosing seats from one end of a row of available seats.

If you choose seats that don’t make best use of the adjacent seat blocking – eg. if you pick seats one or two away from the end of a row of available seats - the system may shift you a seat to the left or the right, and give you a message that it has done so.

If you plan to sit with someone, you will need to buy the tickets together.

If the series you choose does not show your preferred seats as available, you will find more choices of seating in a Make-Your-Own series.

Please don’t hesitate to call us 510-841-1903, or email boxoffice@westedgeopera.org with any questions or issues…

On June 1, when single tickets go on sale, if more seats can be made available, we will offer series ticket holders the option to move.

It is our hope that by July 25 we can open the entire theater. We expect to require masks at the festival.
