Make a plan to come early and enjoy food and drinks with your friends. The grounds open two hours before every performance. Pack a picnic or visit our onsite cafe and bar, find a seat, and relax before your show! Don’t forget you can bring food and drink into the amphitheater, so no need to rush.

Patrons bringing their own food will need to purchase a picnic pass for $10 per person.

Picnic Passes can be purchased online or at the box office on the day of show.

If you purchase food at the Bruns cafe, you will not need a pass.

Proceeds from the Café and the picnic passes are shared between West Edge and Cal Shakes.

The North Star Grove features picnic tables in your choice of shade or sun during the day. The North Star Grove’s crowning jewel is Bruce Johnson’s North Star sculpture with a seat allowing intrepid climbers to peer through a hole and view the North Star at night.

The Cafe at The Bruns: As we recover from the last year, we hope you will support us by purchasing your food onsite.

The Cafe at the Bruns will be open before all shows, during intermission, and after the show (beverages and sweets only).  Offerings include sandwiches for $9-$14, (with a vegetarian option), salads for  $7-$11, a Charcuterie Box for $18, and sweets for $2.50-$4.  Beer & wine $6-$9, other hot & cold beverages $2-$3

The Talking Grove:  General Director Mark Streshinsky gives informal talks 45 minutes before curtain. The grove includes picnic tables and benches.

The Bruns Plaza is an ADA accessible paved area with pistachio trees, string lights, and cafe tables, located close to the restrooms and Amphitheater.
